About Flori
Flori is owned and operated by Lori Poliski from her small farm studio, Flori’s Cottage, in Woodinville, WA. Flori comes from the Latin Florus which means flower and it happens to rhyme with Lori, from the Latin Laurel which means glory. It is also a French name that means flower.

Lori’s preferred floral style is vintage/garden/naturalistic using a lot of herbs and foliage for texture and fragrance in arrangements. She makes some sort of flower arrangement almost every day, even in the winter, for her friends and family even if it is just a single branch with some evergreens. Lori loves being surrounded by nature and bringing a bit of nature indoors.
She also loves the Victorian philosophy of the language of flowers, and will incorporate flowers that have special meaning if you would prefer. Lori grew up on a farm in NJ where her mother grew lilacs, peonies and roses and she has been making posies and arrangements since she was five.
